The owner approached me with a clear vision: to create a logo for their cannabis edibles brand, LEVIOSA, inspired by the magical world of Harry Potter. The goal was to blend whimsical, magical elements with cannabis symbolism in a way that felt fresh and distinctive.

Drawing inspiration from iconic Harry Potter imagery—such as feathers, lightning bolts, and magic—I designed a feather that subtly integrates the form of a cannabis leaf. Each segment of the leaf was shaped and stylized to resemble the softness and motion of a feather, creating a sense of lightness and elegance.

The typography is a custom font I developed specifically for this brand. I aimed for a clean, modern aesthetic to contrast with the organic, intricate shape of the feather. This juxtaposition helped achieve a balanced and contemporary visual identity.

Color exploration played a major role in the design process. We initially experimented with darker tones to reflect the moody, magical feel of the Harry Potter universe. However, these colors didn’t effectively convey the cannabis element. After testing various shades of green, we landed on a combination of deep forest green and vibrant lime green. This palette not only captures attention but also works well across digital and packaging applications.
